Cholo del Mictlán Sahumerio – Día de Muertos Pet Memorial Incense for Animal Altars

Cholo del Mictlán is a handcrafted sahumerio created for the beloved animal companions who have crossed the veil but remain forever beside us.

Inspired by the sacred role of the Xoloitzcuintli as a guide for souls traveling toward Mictlán, this aromatic blend may be offered for dogs, cats, and any cherished pet. Burn it beside their photograph, collar, favorite toy, food, treats, or another object that carries their memory.

The blend includes dried cempasúchil to light the path home, rosemary for remembrance and loyalty, chamomile for calm and tender love, cinnamon for warmth and devotion, and copal negro for protection and grounding. Other sacred ingredients remain part of the blend, kept in mystery to preserve its magic.

Ritual use:
Place a small amount on a lit charcoal disc in a heat-safe incense burner. Let the smoke rise gently over your pet’s altar or ofrenda as you speak their name and remember their presence. Traditionally meaningful dates include October 27 and November 3, although this sahumerio may be used whenever your heart calls you to honor them.

Handcrafted by Brujería de Rancho by Daphne la Hechicera.

For spiritual and aromatic use only. Never leave burning incense unattended. Keep away from children, living pets, drafts, and flammable materials. Use in a well-ventilated space and do not expose animals directly to the smoke.
